Demo Day
On the 29th of November in the time of 12.00-14.00, Max-Planck scientists will present their latest research results, which they hope to spin off in an exclusive digital setting. The partners Max-Planck-Founding Initiative and Max-Planck-Innovation have actively supported these scientists and personally accompany them in the founding process. Get to know the committed scientists and their ideas and take advantage of the opportunity to exchange ideas after the event!
The teams are settled in very different research and application areas. The teams are either in the pre-start-up phase or in the early phase of the company. There is no lack of opportunities to support these teams. It is not primarily about investment, but also to get close to useful contacts in the industry, to experts and mentors.

From Research to Market
Start-up Workshop on November 10, 2022 at 09.00h, MPI Saarbrücken
Founding a startup after graduation – whether Master, PhD or even during your Postdoc time – can be a great opportunity to bring your research into the society as well as to independently work in the field of your interest.
But you could also give others the opportunity to use your research results by licencing. Research transfer can have many facettes. And for Profit research is not as evil as it sounds.
Two of the main questions are usually asked: How do I start and how do I finance my startup?
Max Planck Innovation and the Saarland University Startup Center will not only answer these two questions but also give you insights about the possibilities of research transfer.

VENTURE NIGHTS 2022
Course for founders and investors
From 04.10.2022 to 29.11.2022 the Venture Nights 2022, a modular training course for founders and investors with venture capital ambitions, will take place.
Experienced experts from POELLATH will teach everything you need to know about legal and tax issues in order to negotiate the terms of an investment with founders, business angels, VCs or other investors on an equal footing.
The course, consisting of 7 modules, takes place hybrid as a live event at changing locations (Munich and Berlin) and with online transmission.

Demo Day
On November 30, 2021, scientists of the Max Planck Society presented their latest research results in an exclusive digital setting, which they want to take to a spin-off. The start-up initiative of the MPF accompanies them personally in the start-up process. This gave the participants the opportunity to get to know the scientists and their ideas through pitches and networking. In preparation for the pitches, the teams were coached by Christoph Sollich during a pitch coaching session.
The teams came from very diverse research and application areas. They are currently either in the pre-founding phase or in the early stages of the company. There is no shortage of opportunities to support these teams. Demo Day is not primarily about investment, but about making useful contacts in industry, with experts and mentors.
